Killers of the Flower Moon : The Osage Indian Murders: Review by Tim Tufuga
Superbly written depicting the problems faced by any First Nations people world over. The bane of Colonialism and the contact between the Opportunist European with the First Nations people, whether in North America, Australia, Africa, New Zealand or the Pacific Islands, within Central America and South America, or Asia, the storyline is the same. Colonialism and the Black Man's burden of Colonialism is a universal experience felt by all First Nations people.
The Storyline of the Osage Nation and their Black Gold was a curse in disguise when opportunist White Men, and Clansmen at that, would deliberately marry Indians for their Oil money seems very obvious. From Conniving Lawyers, Corruptible and murdering Police Officers, to ooportunists Servants and Chauffuers, the opportunity to woo a Coloured, and rich, Osage Indian would be too tempting to resist. Murders and blood money pay outs would be an opportunity to knock two birds with one stone for opportunist White Folks.
This also reflects on the insincerity of many race relations and miscegenation marriages which in this instance would reveal how the KKK men married the Osage Indian Women and would, in the end, be responsible for the surreptitious murders of numerous Indians, including the wives of these unscrupulous White Men.
What is even worse, is how these pernicious men, like the sincere White Missionary, would profess to be culturally sensitive when in truth they were the murderers and exploiters of the very same people they were professing to protect and to advocate in their intersts to the world. The paradox of enlightenment.
In Samoa, we call it, Le Palagi Fa'alata.
A must watch movie for all First Nations people.
The Osage Nation is not an atypical story of race hate, jealousy, and pure nefarious evil intentions that motivate a dominant racial group to want to conspire to do evil upon the minority races that the dominant group would deem to be inferior, as Untermensch.
The Australian society is not unlike the Osage Community with the Australian Government institutions purporting to support the indigenous people, who would in turn employ the very same people who would repress, oppress and murder them institutionally and bureaucratically within Government institutions. In Australia, this included the now defunct ATSIC Governemnt Organisation that was a self serving monolith that rewarded the Bureaucrats quality of life at the expense and the goal displacement of the Indigenous people who were meant to benefit from ATSIC's existence. Therefore, ATSIC was dismantled as a result of its ineffective delivery of services to the community it was intended to serve. As for the Federal Bureaucrats that were employed within ATSIC, they were the only beneficiaries of the organisation.
Expansively, the Court system and the Jusice system within various States and Territories served only to accelerate the institutionalisation of Indigenous people within the Criminal Justice system. Imprisoning more and more Indigenous people in a system that lacked empathy and affinity to the cultural needs of the Indigenous people apart from the Criminal Justice Bureaucrats who were employed within the Criminal Justice system itself. The Indigenous people employed within the law enforcement and criminal justice system were to become facilitators for the recidivism culture of the Indigenous criminal culture which served only to entrench the Indigenous criminal culture and perpetuated the Indigenous criminality rather than to discourage the Indigenous people from the cultural entrapment of the Indigenous criminal culture.
The Osage Community is Australian society writ large, along with the Criminal Justice system geared to facilitate the criminal recidivism culture that would groom the usual suspects at a very early stage of the Juvenile's life for many Indigenous people. It seems to be a self perpetuating culture whereby the Indigenous people themselves are hardwired to behave in their preconditioned mindset of recidivism and delinquency. This criminal recidivism is encouraged by the Law Enforcement authorities who are involved in entrapment targetting of certain individuals throughout the community. Like the Osage Community of Corruptible Police Officers serving to selectively target individuals and families throughout their community in what we now term as Racial Profiling, the tendency for ultra right, or Altright, Individuals within the community would apply for Police and military recruitment within Australian law enforcement and military services for the specific aim to collectively target their perceived persona non grata individuals, or racial groups within Australian society.
In Queensland, the Queensland Police Services, throughout Australian history, has been renown to have a culture of Osage like community mentality against the Aboriginal people, and later on the Pacific Islander community especially during the 1990s.
More particularly, the Osage Indians is a story that is very familiar to a Samoan, an Aborigine, to a Tongan, to a Maori, who has lived in Australia for well over forty years. I am very familiar of this Police culture living in Australia. My criminal records is a testament of trumped up charges and an example of Institutional HATRED by both the Queensland Police and the Queensland Justice system, which reflects the overall hatred by a White Australian Nation towards indivduals and people of my kin throughout Australian society since I have lived here for well over forty years.
The story of the race relations and the pernicious surreptitious antics of the White People within the Osage Community with their nefarious cultural miscegenation for ill gotten gains is not dissimilar to the Australian Indigenous experience with the Mabo decisions, the miscegenation of Australian white people with the insincere token gestures such as welcome to country superficial acknowledgement to the Indigenous people which would be revealed in their true manifestation with the rejection of the Constitutional Recognition of the Aboriginal people within the Australian Constitution in the 2023 Australian Federal Referendum. I have personally experience the nefarious Queensland Police and Queensland Justice system first hand as a Samoan Australian citizen which would also extend their dragnet of nefarious entrapment to include sycophantic indigenous and other minority Individuals and groups with their own Solipsis designs in knocking down their rivals or persons they simply disliked for whatever reason. The Australian cultural race relations experience is not unlike the American Indian and especially the Osage Community experience. This is a universal experience for most First Nations people worldover.
Watch this documentary to the very end.....I know that America and Australia share the same mindset....
The movie.
