US and NATO economic sanctions against Russia: A NATO Groupthink
Since the Western Sanctions against Russia, the Russian economy has increased significantly due to third party mark ups in Russian Energy resources to Europe and other trading partners. Russia's economy has outpaced Germany, France and Britain during the Ukrainian War. Russia has announced that before the end of the Ukrainian War Russia will overtake Japan as the fourth strongest economy, thanks principally to the Western Sanctions.
More importantly, the Russian military industrial complex has not only restored their losses from the Ukrainian War, they have managed to not only replenish their weapons and munitions but have introdused improved weapon systems including the roll out of the new S-500 Prometheus to the frontlines along the line of contact in 2024.
The Ukrainian war sanctions and the intended economic failure and Russian upheaval has backfired with Russia becoming stronger and economically superior than before the Ukrainian war. As I have alluded to back in 2022 at the start of the Ukrainian War, this was a NATO and US Groupthink fiasco in the making.
