I have lived in Australia for 43 years and throughout my life I have known only of institutionalised Racism, especially with the Queensland Justice system. Even Samoans I have known are just as racist as many white Australian racists. From the workplace, to education, to buying a ticket to catch a train, to being abused by school teachers, I had encountered little bit of racism. Unbeknown to myself at the bigger world of Australian society, at political parties, to political rallies, to churches, to doing a job interview, RACISM and DISCRIMINATION was very apparent growing up in Australia from 1981 till now. There is multicultualism but this is only if you are WELL SUPPORTED by your family, community, churches, Mosque, Synagogues Temple etc, otherwise, in the pluralistic world of competition and the survival of the fittest, the least supported are the least empowered.
